Since Constable Richard McCain’s elected position began in 2005, Precinct 3 has been recognized on the local, state and national level for achieving excellence in service to the community through a wide variety of outreach programs. Â To date, McCain has:
- Created the Travis County Emissions Task Force, the only motor vehicle fraud unit in Central Texas of its kind
- Increased patrols for neighborhoods
- Decreased civil process response times
- Fingerprinted over 22,000 children in Travis County for the Missing and Exploited Children Identification Program
- Recognized as the first constable in Travis County to use the electronic filing of civil papers
